I entitled this rendering “Marta Lisa” as it reminds me of the famous Mona Lisa. I wanted to capture a bit of a “renaissance” feel to this one as the pose is very regal. Marta took the photo that inspired this piece herself and when I saw it I just had to depict it. Marta’s father was a gifted professional photographer and I think that Marta has inherited some of that talent.
I graduated from the Wexford Collegiate School For The Arts in Scarborough, Ontario and the graphic design program at George Brown College in Toronto. People often ask me what I enjoy most about art. My primary interest has been automotive and aviation related subjects but I am expanding into other areas of interest as well. Mostly I enjoy the process of creating art and the challenge of learning something new with each new work that I create. I'm hoping that people who view my artwork will connect with it in some way, wether it be composition, subject matter, or simply the aesthetic quality inherent in the work itself.
